Testimony: Entering Virginia Tech as a freshman, I had no interest or desire to pursue a relationship with Christ. I figured I already knew who he was, what more did I need to do? One week I found myself at a Campus Outreach meeting and just a few days later I began to develop friendships with some of the girls I had met there. During this first year, God took me through a process of seeing how all of my efforts for happiness resulted in destruction. Simultaneously, through the relationships that had formed with these Christian women, He began opening up the Scriptures to me, and revealing the beautiful gift of His son. “But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). During a CO winter conference, this verse became real to me for the first time—me as a sinner, saved personally by the love and grace of God through Christ Jesus.
